About Our Foundation
Our family founded CBH Ministry and Cancer Foundation not only to let my fathers legacy live on, but he would want us to offer HOPE to those in our communities who are struggling with the many challenges and uncertainties that a cancer diagnosis may bring.
When someone is first diagnosed with cancer, there is a lot of uncertainty and many questions that follow. Individuals begin to worry about their families and loved ones, they may wonder how they will continue to work and pay bills, and may even begin to question their faith. Many times we also see individuals turn to their faith for perhaps a deeper spiritual understanding of sickness and comfort.
CBH Ministry & Cancer foundation created our Gifts Of Hope to encourage others and offer support (educational, spiritual, and financial) to patients and families during this delicate time in their lives. We want others to find peace in the present, and experience HOPE for what lies ahead in their journey.
Our HOPE is to lift spirits, deepen one's faith, offer encouragement, and also lessen some of the financial burdens and worries that go along with the disease. When patients are undergoing chemotherapy, we want our Gifts Of Hope to be a sense of comfort during some of those days when struggles can sometimes seem they are at their highest.
Chemotherapy can be an exhausting treatment for anyone dealing with a cancer diagnosis. It can suddenly make it seem impossible to meet basic weekly needs. Working with church leaders who know the needs of others is our best lead. Meeting those basic needs such as groceries for the week or having a full tank of gas to get to work or doctor appointments, should not become overwhelming at a time where there is no room any added stress. CBH Ministry wants to help fulfill some of those needs and our goal is to switch the focus from a sense of worry, to a feeling of HOPE.

Not only will we be working with church leaders to find out where the greatest needs are, but we are also donating our Gifts of Hope to local infusion centers as well as oncology offices. WE WANT PEOPLE TO KNOW WHO WE ARE and that THEY ARE NOT ALONE. Together, through your generous donations, special fundraising events, and so many selfless acts of kindness, we plan on MAKING A DIFFERENCE in the lives of so many affected by cancer.

If my father were alive today, he would want to help, offer HOPE, and MAKE A DIFFERENCE to each individual out there (just like that boy in the starfish poem) who has been diagnosed with cancer and are ready to fight.

Many people have even inquired if CBH Ministry and Cancer Foundation can be named as a beneficiary in a will, and the answer to that is yes. CBH can also be named as part of funeral arrangements or "In Lieu of Flowers". All donations can be made to CBH Ministry and Cancer Foundation.
